About this file

This is a Sole Source Request filed by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and Innovation (OEDIT), Division of Global Business Development, seeking approval to procure booth space and related services from Trade Show Services GACC New York, Inc., the sole organizer of the United States Pavilion at the Laser World of Photonics trade show. OEDIT intends to purchase booth space, furniture, graphics, and contractor services for the FY27, FY28, and FY29 iterations of the trade show, representing a recurring procurement spanning from June 29, 2026, to June 30, 2029. The trade show serves as a platform for Colorado companies in the photonics industry to gain international exposure and expand their market reach through participation in a Colorado co-exhibit booth alongside other state companies. The request indicates that Trade Show Services GACC New York, Inc. has previously provided similar services to OEDIT within the past two years and will obligate the state to this particular vendor for the duration of the contract term.

The estimated annual cost for these services is $40,000, with a total term cost of $120,000 over the three-year period. The pricing is fixed and non-negotiable, as determined by the trade show organizer, and is consistent with industry-standard costs for similar international trade shows. No formal price comparison or cost analysis was conducted, as Trade Show Services GACC New York, Inc. is identified as the exclusive vendor for the United States Pavilion at this specific trade show, eliminating alternative sourcing options. The procurement is funded through the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP), an SBA-funded initiative, and the Global Business Development's Advanced Industries Export Grant. OEDIT has determined no conflict of interest exists with the vendor and has confirmed that no alternative goods or services can adequately meet the division's needs for this specialized trade show participation.
