About this file

This is a Landscaping Scope of Work document issued by the Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority (VLCDA) for maintenance services at seven industrial and business parks in the Valdosta, Georgia area. The scope of work covers routine and specified lawn care within designated rights-of-way and median areas at Azalea West Industrial Park, Bassford Business Park, Hahira Industrial Park, Lake Park Industrial Park, Miller Business Park, Perimeter East Business Park, Westside Business Park, and the VLCDA Office located at 103 Roosevelt Drive, Valdosta, GA 31603. The parks collectively encompass approximately 730 linear feet of rights-of-way across multiple roads. Maintenance requirements include weekly mowing and trimming from April through September, bi-monthly service from October through March, monthly shrub clipping and weed control, bi-annual fertilization using slow-release 5-10-15 fertilizer at 200 lbs/acre, and annual landscape bed refurbishment with pine straw at four inches depth. The contractor must submit written reports documenting mowing dates by the tenth of each month and maintain responsibility for all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to perform the services.

The contract allows for extension up to four years on an annual basis at the discretion of VLCDA, with either party retaining the right to terminate with thirty days' notice. Pricing for routine maintenance and the annual pine straw refurbishment must be submitted as separate line items in the bid. The contractor bears full responsibility for equipment damage to landscape features, vegetation, and turf areas, including repairs and replacements at their own cost. Additional services such as storm debris removal require separate approved purchase orders outside the base contract scope. The vendor must supply all herbicides, fertilizers, pesticides, and chemicals required for facility maintenance and maintain the irrigation system through monthly inspections.
