About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) or Performance Work Statement (PWS) outlining construction and installation requirements for a fuel service station upgrade project. The work encompasses five primary scope items: (1) installation of secondary containment infrastructure, including a 20 linear foot trench drain with 6-inch HDPE piping leading to a remote concrete containment basin with pump-out capability and rip rap erosion control; (2) construction of a reinforced concrete parking pad sized to accommodate fuel delivery trucks and customer vehicles, with removal and replacement of existing asphalt and proper slope grading toward the trench drain; (3) installation of a platform, handrails, and minimum 4-foot by 4-foot reinforced concrete landing at the base of stairs for access to aboveground storage tank appurtenances, with concrete extending below frost depth; (4) procurement and installation of a 5,000-gallon UL 2085 horizontal aboveground storage tank with attached dispenser, featuring external coated carbon steel construction and coated carbon steel nozzles; and (5) replacement of the existing Ronan ATG console with a Veeder Root TLS-450 console, including installation of a new MAG probe and manufacturer-recommended cable.
The SOW specifies technical requirements including concrete specifications, drainage system design, tank standards compliance, and equipment compatibility. Work requirements include demolition of existing containment structures, asphalt removal with minimum 2-foot margins for proper compaction, elevation matching with adjacent pavement, and compliance with frost depth requirements for concrete foundations. No response dates, award information, pricing terms, or set-asides are identified in this document.

Text version
Provide secondary containment for the fuel transfer area through the construction of a trench drain (20 LF) at the low point of the new concrete pavement proposed in Item 2.2.2. 6” HDPE piping shall run from the low point of the trench drain southward to a new concrete remote containment basin. The remote containment basin shall have a pump-out to grade, where any stormwater collected in the basin will outfall into the grassy area adjacent to the tanks. Provide rip rap at the outfall point to prevent erosion of the surrounding area. Demolish the existing concrete containment structure and all appurtenances that sit where the proposed drain line will be located.
Reinforced concrete parking pad for vehicles using the service station. The pad shall be sized for the vehicles receiving or supplying fuel. For the fuel delivery vehicle, at minimum, the wheels supporting the truck tank shall be on the pad. For vehicles receiving fuel from the dispenser, the entire vehicle shall park on the pad. Remove and replace asphalt as required to install new PCC pavement and provide smooth transition between asphalt and concrete pavements. Minimum removal shall be 2’ outside the edge of new PCC pavement to allow for compaction of asphalt patch back. Ensure that the new concrete slab matches existing elevation of the adjacent asphalt and slopes towards the new trench drain along the west side of the pavement section.
Provide a platform and handrails centered along the full length of the horizontal aboveground storage tank to allow for access to the tank appurtenances. Provide a minimum 4’x 4’ reinforced concrete landing located at the base of the stairs.
Thickness of the landing must be adequate for proper anchorage of the stairs to the concrete. Concrete landing must extend to below frost depth.
Provide and install one 5,000-gallon UL 2085 horizontal aboveground tank with an attached dispenser. The external tank will be coated carbon steel with coated carbon steel nozzles.
Replace Ronan ATG console with Veeder Root TLS-450, new MAG probe and install new manufacturer recommended cable.
