About this file
This document is a detailed project specification for basketball court renovations at Lakeside Park in Piedmont, South Carolina, prepared for the County of Greenville. The project involves comprehensive court improvements, including removing six existing basketball goals and installing four new goal systems on two full-size high school basketball courts. The scope of work includes crack filling with hot tar/rubber, installing a 2-inch asphalt overlay across the entire surface, leveling walkways to match the sidewalk grade, applying two coats of black resurfacer, two coats of color (forest green for the court, blue for keys), and striping white lines. The renovation will cover approximately 18,000 square feet with courts dimensioned at 84'x50' each.
The project specifications include precise technical requirements for surface preparation and construction, with specific slope and grading constraints (less than 5% running grade and less than 2% cross slope). The new court surfaces will use Sportsmaster or equivalent coloring, with Porter 6' extension full-size basketball goals to be purchased and installed. The renovation aims to create a level, properly graded surface that connects seamlessly with existing sidewalks, with minimum slope at 0.833% and maximum slope at 1% across the court surface. The entire project is expected to be completed within 90 days of the Notice to Proceed, transforming the existing basketball courts into two regulation high school-sized courts with new infrastructure and markings.
