About this file

This document is a Labor and Material Payment Bond issued by the County of Orange, California, which serves as a financial guarantee for a contract. The bond ensures that the contractor will pay for materials, labor, supplies, and other expenses related to the project, with the surety (insurance company) agreeing to cover costs if the contractor fails to make required payments. The bond is designed to protect subcontractors, suppliers, and workers by providing a financial safety net, and it covers potential claims under the Civil Code and Unemployment Insurance Code.

The bond specifies that the surety will pay up to the bond's specified amount if the contractor does not fulfill payment obligations, and it includes provisions for covering legal costs if a suit is brought to enforce the bond. The document outlines specific legal requirements for corporate signatories, noting that either two corporate officers must sign or one officer must provide written evidence of their authority to bind the corporation. The bond is part of a broader contractual process, in this case related to an OSHA Safety Training opportunity with OC Public Works, and provides financial protection for all parties involved in the contract.
