About this file
This is a proposal submission template for the Learning for Careers (LFC) program, which appears to be administered by Delaware's Department of Labor and Department of Education. The template requires applicants to provide detailed program information including organizational details, project timelines, and specific plans for connecting employers with youth through paid work experiences. The program focuses on work-based learning opportunities for secondary and postsecondary students, requiring partnerships with at least three employers and alignment with high-demand occupations or state-approved career and technical education programs.
The template includes detailed budget requirements and forms for itemizing expenses such as staff salaries, fringe benefits, supportive services, equipment, training materials, and participant payments. Applicants must specify their total program amount, requested funding amount, cost per student, number of students served, and total program hours per student. The program emphasizes leveraged resources through cash contributions and in-kind support, requiring detailed documentation of these additional funding sources. Notably, applicants must maintain specific documentation for supportive services, including a cumulative log of client benefits, and are restricted to providing vouchers rather than cash directly to clients.
