About this file
This addendum to the KI Convention Center A/V Upgrades bid documents, issued by Wisconsin's government procurement process, modifies the scope of work for the Audio-Visual system upgrades project. The primary modification requires the contractor to replace ceiling tiles as necessary to accommodate new speaker installations that differ in size from existing equipment. The replacement ceiling tiles must conform to Section 09 51 13 Acoustical Panel Ceilings specifications and match existing conditions. The project encompasses work in Ballrooms A and B, the Expo Hall, and west end meeting rooms and auditoriums, where demolition and removal of existing A/V equipment will occur alongside installation of new electronics, speakers, cabling, and XLR jacks.
Acoustical ceiling materials must be ACT 1 Type tiles measuring 24" x 24" x 5/8" with angled tegular edge in standard 15/16" grid systems, sourced from approved manufacturers including Armstrong World Industries Inc. or CertainTeed Corp. The contractor shall utilize existing suspension materials and must handle all tiles with gloves or clean hands to prevent soiling. Delivery materials must arrive in original unopened packages and be stored in enclosed, climate-controlled conditions prior to installation. Upon project completion, all metal edging shall be cleaned to remove discoloration, and any soiled, defaced, discolored, or damaged acoustical panels must be replaced. The addendum was accompanied by a Pre-Bid Meeting Sign-in Sheet, indicating a bidders conference was conducted prior to bid submission.
