About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of the Navy's Office of Naval Research-Global (ONRG) for the Technology Operational Experimentation Events (TOEE) 25.1 series, focused on Expeditionary Medicine.
The RFI seeks innovative solutions to increase the effectiveness of tactical triage, damage control resuscitation, damage control surgery, casualty holding, and casualty evacuation capabilities for Naval medical units operating in austere, communications-limited environments. Key focus areas include: increasing prolonged casualty and patient care capacity through low-signature medical technologies; improving casualty evacuation within Expeditionary Advanced Base (EAB) environments; and enhancing forward EAB elements' ability to provide trauma care. ONRG is interested in solutions with a Technology Readiness Level of 5 or greater. Responders are requested to provide a quad chart and white paper with details on operational relevance, cost estimates, system architecture, critical technical parameters, dependencies, Technology/Integration Readiness Levels, and team composition by September 30, 2024. Selected technologies will participate in a series of experimentation events, including a Limited Technical Assessment in November 2024, a Limited Objective Experiment in February 2025, and an Advanced Capability Experiment in May 2025, for which ONRG may provide funding support.
