1. Introduction and Schedule

The County of San Mateo (the “County” or “SMC”) covers most of the San Francisco Peninsula. The region covers 744 mi and is home to nearly 800,000 residents and 20 incorporated cities. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that

Sealed bids will be received either by mail to the office of the County Executive’s office, or hand delivered to the County of San Mateo at 500 County Center, 5th Floor, Redwood City, California, until the hour of 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2026, where the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following project in accordance with the specifications therefore.

DO NOT submit bids in OpenGov.

2. Scope of Work

2.1. Scope of Work

The work to be done consists, in general, of the following items:

A. Base Bid - resurfacing existing deteriorated pavement of the access road, Meadow View

Picnic, and Bay View Picnic Shelter parking lot areas, preserving the existing pavement of the Buckeye Picnic parking lot area by applying crack seal and slurry seal, replacing in kind existing roadway striping and parking lot striping, and constructing new concrete sidewalk pad for accessible parking stalls.

B. Additive Alternatives

1. Additive Alternative 1 – resurfacing existing deteriorated pavement of the access road and replacing in kind existing roadway striping.

2. Additive Alternative 2 – preserving the existing pavement of the access road, and De

Anza and Willow Picnic Shelter parking lot areas by applying crack seal and slurry seal, replacing in kind existing roadway striping and parking lot striping, and constructing new concrete sidewalk pad for accessible parking stalls.

3. Additive Alternative 3 – resurfacing existing deteriorated pavement of the access road and replacing in kind existing roadway striping.

Additionally, other items and details not mentioned above, but required by the Project

Plans, Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions, and the directions of the

Engineer. The additive alternative work is dependent upon availability of funding and

Page 4 of 4 Release date of June 24, 2026 may or may not be awarded as part of the contract. The County reserves the right to award the Base Bid only, or together with one or more additive alternatives, at its sole discretion.

3. Submission Requirements

3.1. Submission Deadline

Sealed Bid Proposals must be received by 2:00 pm, on Thursday, July 9, 2026 via mail or hand-delivered to the office of the County Executive's Office, County of San Mateo at 500 County Center, 5th Floor, Redwood City, California 94063.

After such time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the project in accordance with the specifications.

3.2. Pre-submission Registration

Organizations or individuals interested in responding to this solicitation must register online with the

County of San Mateo at:

It is recommended that organizations complete this registration as soon as possible. The County will not be responsible for and may not accept proposals that are late due to a failure to register in the eProcurement system.
