About this file

This document is a justification for other than full and open competition for a sole source contract award. The Department of State Office of Acquisition Management will award an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to Bosch Sicherheitssysteme GmbH for preventive maintenance and emergency repair services of video surveillance and emergency notification systems equipment at various locations in Germany. The existing equipment was purchased from Bosch and contains proprietary components that require technical support from the manufacturer. The estimated contract value is $513,989.51 to provide services at 64 apartment buildings, two community buildings, and four long-term leased residences through 2023. A market survey found no other contractors able to service this equipment configuration due to licensing and certification requirements held only by Bosch as the manufacturer. The contracting officer determined the anticipated pricing to be fair and reasonable based on Bosch's price list and historical rates.
