About this file
This document is an Antiterrorism Awareness trifold pamphlet for contractors working at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) in New Jersey, designed to educate contractors about terrorism prevention and reporting suspicious activities. The pamphlet provides detailed guidance on identifying potential terrorist threats, including surveillance indicators like unfamiliar vehicles, expired tags, illegally parked vehicles, and repeated vehicle movements. It outlines three potential victim scenarios: Victim By Association, Victim By Location, and Victim By Opportunity, and explains the Department of Defense's definition of terrorism as an unlawful use of violence to instill fear and coerce governments or societies.
The document includes emergency contact information for the 87th Security Forces Squadron at (609) 754-6001 and details the Force Protection Conditions (FPCON) levels from Normal to Delta, each representing escalating threat levels with corresponding protective measures. Contractors are instructed to be vigilant, report suspicious activities, and follow specific preparedness steps such as providing their name, location, and a detailed description when reporting potential threats. The pamphlet emphasizes the contractor's role as a "Force Multiplier" in helping maintain security vigilance at the base and surrounding community.
