About this file

This is an antiterrorism awareness pamphlet developed by the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) Antiterrorism Office for contractors working on the base. The document provides guidance on recognizing and reporting suspicious activities, defining terrorism, and understanding different levels of force protection conditions (FPCON). Key points include being alert to surroundings, identifying potential surveillance indicators such as unfamiliar vehicles or people, and understanding how individuals might become unintentional terrorist victims through association, location, or opportunity.

The pamphlet outlines specific actions for contractors, including what to look for (such as vehicles with expired tags, repeatedly passing vehicles, or illegally parked vehicles), emergency contact information, and steps to take when reporting suspicious activity. It provides contact details for the 87th Security Forces Squadron at (609) 754-6001 and explains different FPCON levels (Normal, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta), each with increasing protective measures and threat indicators. The document emphasizes the importance of contractors acting as "Force Multipliers" by providing additional vigilance to help maintain security at the base.
