Project Title CNF-CON FSOS-Janitorial Washburn (Apr-Mar)
General Information
1.0 Background and Purpose
This contract requires general janitorial services for the Washburn Ranger District Office and other associated buildings at the compound area. The purpose is to keep facilities clean for Government employees.
2.0 Definitions
Not applicable.
Contractor Requirements
3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks
Employee work areas (including but not limited to: computers, phones, tablets, desktops, desk drawers, papers, folders, etc.) shall not be cleaned or any items moved or opened at any time.
Work performed for the cleaning services under this contract shall only be completed outside of normal business hours for Government employees. Normal business hours are Monday thru Friday 0600 – 1700.
Cleaning Services:
Twice a week:
1. There are four restrooms that shall be serviced. Three are inside the main office and one inside the upper warehouse. Restrooms shall be cleaned and sanitized, resulting in:
Toilets – sanitized inside & out and free of residue & debris
Sinks – sanitized and free of residue & debris
Safety railings ‐ sanitized and free of residue & debris
Mirrors and paper towel dispensers – left clear/shining and free of streaks and smudges
Floors – sanitized and free of debris and dirt/grim residue/build‐up
Maintain stocking of the following items in each restroom:
Toilet paper
Hand soap
Urinal cakes
Paper towels
2. All commonly touched surfaces shall be sanitized and cleaned
In the office, this includes: doorknobs, railings, light switches, drinking fountains, and tables/countertops in common areas.
For the upper warehouse this includes: all doorknobs and light switch, both inside and outside
For the lower warehouse, this only includes the exterior doorknobs
3. The kitchen in the office building, in the basement, shall be serviced. The kitchen shall be cleaned and sanitized, including:
counters & tables – surfaces sanitized and free of debris & residues sinks (excluding all dirty dishes) ‐ sanitized (including faucet) and left shining and free of debris & residues
Exteriors of appliances should be free of dust and residues
Paper towel shall be stocked
4. All garbage cans shall be serviced. Remove garbage and recycling and from all waste baskets/receptacles in the office (all rooms) and the warehouse (bathroom only).
Trash and recycling removed shall be brought the matching containers that are located outside the office and warehouses.
Once a week:
1. Clean all floors in the office building.
Vacuum all carpeted floors and rugs of the office, leaving them free of dust & debris.
Bathroom floors shall be cleaned and sanitized, leaving them free of debris and dirt/grim residue/build‐up.
Basement floor shall be cleaned and sanitized, leaving them free of debris and dirt/grim residue/build‐up.
All furnishings moved for cleaning shall be placed back in their original location.
The public entryway, located just outside the front door of the office building, shall be swept clear of leaves and other debris.
2. The contractor shall dust all areas within the office including any surface where dust may accumulate, including:
display cases filing/storage cabinets windowsills chair rails & base boards along walls any exposed surface top areas
Every two weeks:
1) The contractor shall vacuum all upholstered chairs in the office building. The contractor shall return the chairs to their original positions found once the service has been completed to them.
2) Polish the hand railings (including the undersides) in both office stairwells.
3) Remove dust from overhead beams and tops of doorways.
Every six months:
1) All windows in the office building, inside and outside, shall be cleaned and sanitized.
1nd window cleaning – due by May 1st 2rd window cleaning – due by October 1st
4.0 Deliverable / Schedule
All deliverables and due dates are described under section 3.0.
5.0 Government Furnished
Government furnished facilities include the office building at 113 E. Bayfield Street, Washburn, Wisconsin, 54891. The associated buildings across Bayfield Street are also included as “the compound area”. Upon award of contract, the contractor will be provided the door combination code to access all facilities. Government facilities will be closed on all Federal holidays; however, the contractor may elect to continue to provide services on closed holidays.
The Government will provide a secure area for the contractor to store and keep cleaning materials owned by the contractor.
6.0 Travel
Contractor is responsible for all travel.
7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel
Not applicable.
8.0 Security Requirements
Contractor will be provided with door combination access codes to the Government facilities. The contractor is held responsible that the access codes will not be shared with any other interested parties. Door combination codes will be re‐set after the contract termination period.
9.0 Data Rights
Not applicable.
