About this file

This is a Sole Source Justification (SSJ) document from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for a simplified acquisition below the simplified acquisition threshold.

FEMA is procuring two Crown brand mono lift forklifts for its Distribution Centers in Hawaii: one Crown RMD-6025-45 Single Reach Mono lift for Distribution Center Hawaii - Aiea and one Crown RMD-6025-32 Double Reach Mono lift for Distribution Center Hawaii Annex Building 6041. The procurement will be solicited as a Firm Fixed Price Delivery Order on Sam.gov. The anticipated cost is redacted in the document. The justification for sole source procurement is based on brand name requirement, as Crown is identified as the only manufacturer offering machines with the mono mast component and other required features necessary to safely and rapidly perform operational tasks within the facilities. Additional justification includes FEMA staff's current training on Crown Mono Lifts and parts compatibility for maintenance issues. The Procurement Requisition Numbers are WX02375Y2026T and WX02374Y2026T, dated June 26, 2026. Fair and reasonable pricing determination is based on market research conducted in April 2026, current price lists derived from multiple Google searches, GSA schedules and industry publications, and comparison to the Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE). The Contracting Officer approved the justification on June 26, 2026.
