About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal solicitation 70FB7026R00000024. The document addresses three inquiries from potential contractors regarding equipment specifications and condition requirements.
The primary clarifications concern equipment condition and battery requirements. The government confirmed that only new equipment is acceptable; used or refurbished equipment is not permitted. Regarding battery specifications, the government clarified that two (2) batteries per unit are required and should be included as part of the total estimated cost. This addresses a discrepancy noted by contractors who had previously quoted the requirement with two batteries but did not see battery specifications explicitly stated in the current solicitation. The responses confirm that despite any ambiguity in the solicitation language, the historical requirement of two batteries per lift unit remains in effect for this procurement.
