About this file
This document is a Sole Source Justification (SSJ) for the Indian Health Service's acquisition of BD Alaris infusion devices for the Great Plains Area. The procurement involves purchasing seven Alaris model 8015 PC units and twelve Alaris model 8100 pump modules from Carefusion Solutions, LLC, with a total estimated value of $35,000. The primary purpose is to replace third-party acquired Alaris devices to ensure software compatibility, as the components only function when software versions match. The acquisition is being conducted as a sole source procurement under FAR 13.106-1, with Carefusion Solutions identified as the sole provider due to their intellectual property rights and unique software requirements. The contract will be firm-fixed-price, and a Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source will be published as required by procurement regulations.
