About this file
This document is a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition for a bridge contract to provide Full Foodservice Prime Vendor Support for customers in the San Diego Navy Ships Region. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support, Subsistence Supply Chain is seeking to award a 366-day bridge contract (SPE300-25-D-3012) to US Foods Los Angeles from June 12, 2025, through June 13, 2026, with a maximum dollar value of $525,250,000.
The bridge contract will ensure continuous food and beverage supply for DLA customers in the San Diego Navy Ships region, preventing any interruption in food service. The current contract with US Foods Los Angeles was originally awarded in June 2020 and is in its Tier 2 period, set to expire on June 11, 2025. The solicitation for the follow-on acquisition is anticipated to be issued in August 2024 on a full and open competition basis, with this bridge contract designed to maintain uninterrupted service until the new competitive contract can be implemented.
