About this file
This is a Sole Source Justification document for a simplified acquisition under FAR Part 13.501(a)(1)(ii) for the procurement of ancillary furniture from Humanscale (contract number 47QSMA23D08N5) for the U.S. Embassy in Lilongwe, Malawi. The Office of Acquisition Management proposes to award a purchase order for $14,497.15 for monitor arms and keyboard trays throughout the chancery at the New Embassy Compound.
The justification states that Humanscale, through their BPA contract with Knoll, was the only vendor able to meet the requirements since the other BPA vendor (Allsteel) lacked properly secured personnel to work on the proposal. The Contracting Officer determined pricing would be fair and reasonable based on existing BPA pricing. The document is signed by RheaMay Pura (Acting Director of Interior Design) on 1/23/25, Charlotte Cameron (Contracting Officer) on 1/24/2025, and Laquetta Smalls (Contract Specialist) on 02/04/2025, with a pending signature from Gary Clark (Branch Chief).
