About this file
This document is a Truth in Negotiation Certification from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), specifically related to a Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services contract for Lanier Drive from Toni Street to SR 742 Creighton Road. The project, identified by Federal Project Number (FPN) 444222-2-68-01, involves Escambia County soliciting proposals for construction engineering inspection services. The solicitation will be conducted entirely via Microsoft Teams, with potential vendors required to download the software and participate in virtual meetings. Interested firms can secure project specifications through the Escambia County website and must submit questions through OpenGov Software.
The certification requires consultants to verify that wage rates and unit costs supporting the contract's compensation are accurate, complete, and current at the time of contracting. The document stipulates that the agreement price can be adjusted within one year following contract completion if inaccurate or incomplete cost information is discovered. Escambia County emphasizes a commitment to inclusive procurement, encouraging participation from small businesses, minority/women-owned businesses, and disadvantaged business enterprises, with no discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sex, or age. The county reserves the right to accept or reject proposals, though the specific details of this right are not fully elaborated in the provided documentation.
