Delivery is to the Bannock Guard Station near Pocatello, Idaho (coordinates 42.7297, -112.4140), with the requirement that suppliers provide at least 7 days' notice prior to delivery to allow Forest personnel to perform off-loading. Delivery on Fridays is not acceptable. The location is accessible to semi-trucks via gravel road and parking lot.

Statement of Work Westside Trail Bridge Replacements

Caribou-Targhee National Forest

General Information This requisition seeks the purchase of three timber trail bridges to replace failed or poor condition bridges on trails within the Westside Ranger District. These bridges are planned for replacement during the 2026 field season.

Specifications Details of the bridges are found on the plans included in this solicitation. As indicated on the plans, these bridges will be used by stock (horses and pack animals). The 16-foot bridge shall have a clear width of 84 inches between the railings. The 25-foot bridges are curb only bridges, no railing, and shall have a deck width of 60”. Each prefabricated bridge shall be delivered unassembled with all materials required for assembly as specified on the plans. This includes the bridge deck, rails or curbs, superstructure (stringers, diaphragms, etc.), substructure (sills, gabion baskets, backwall, etc.), and hardware. These materials shall be packaged and clearly labeled for each bridge. All timber shall be cut to length, holes bored and treated. All hardware and structural steel shall be supplied in accordance with the plans.

Drawing sheet 2 depicts the standard glue-laminated diaphragm. Drawing sheet 3 provides an alternate steel diaphragm. Either diaphragm is acceptable.

Schedule To allow sufficient time to install the bridges during the 2026 field season the Forest requests delivery by August 6th, 2026.

Delivery Delivery location is the Bannock Guard Station (42.7297, -112.4140) located near Pocatello, Idaho. The Forest can perform the off-load if the supplier provides at least a 7-day notice prior to delivery. Delivery on a Friday is not acceptable. The gravel road and parking lot are accessible to semi-trucks.
