About this file

This is an Excel spreadsheet item list containing details for a B809 Generator procurement requirement and an associated unfunded IT infrastructure refresh project. The generator portion specifies a Mecc Alte B809 Generator (model HCP34-2LN/24) with a requirement that all major components must be manufactured in the United States, though no pricing is shown in the visible data.

The IT infrastructure refresh portion describes a $600,000 unfunded requirement for replacing end-of-service VOIP phones and switches throughout the base, including Cisco 8811 phones (250 units at $1,270 each) and user licenses (127 at $230 each). The project involves upgrading aging NIPRNet infrastructure access layer switches (C3560, C2960, ICX6610, ICX6450, ICX6430, and SX800) to maintain DISA STIG compliance. The period of performance is July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, with a funding deadline of May 15, 2023. The project is designated as critical, impacts wing-wide operations, addresses safety issues, and has been validated by Wing FM for implementation at Misawa Air Base under Pacific Air Forces (PACAF).

EDescription/JustificationReplacing VOIP phones and switches that have reached their end of service throughout the base with new/upgraded versions. Not replacing old communication equipment leaves us more vulnerable to exploitation since no new firmware patches will be provided by the manufacturer. (Cisco 8811 @250 x 1,270 + Users License @230 x127 + shipping) Misawa’s current NIPRNet infrastructure access layer currently consists of C3560, C2960, ICX6610, ICX6450, ICX6430, and SX800 switches. These devices are nearing end of life for software support. An upgrade is required to remain in compliance with DOD DISA STIG NET0700: The network element must be running a current and supported operating system with all IAVMs addressed. Once software support ends, this check will no longer be in compliance. All devices provided must be on the DoD Approved Product List (APL).
