About this file
This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the City of College Park, Georgia for a Tree and Brush Clearing project. The ITB outlines the scope of work, which includes pruning, removal, and stump grinding of pre-selected trees, as well as clearing the entire area of trees and stumps. The City is requesting bids for this project, but has not provided details on the specific trees that require pruning versus removal. The ITB notes that there will be no pre-proposal meeting, but interested vendors are encouraged to visit the project locations. Permits for the work will be provided by the City at no cost to the contractor. The ITB also mentions that the City has its own power department, and the contractor will be able to coordinate de-energizing power lines with them as needed.
The ITB does not specify any pricing terms, set-asides, or incumbent contractors. It also does not provide details on the funding requirements or sources for this project. The final objective of the project appears to be grassing the slope, but this is not included as a separate bid item with specific details on the type of grass or method of application.

ADDENDUM No. 1
OWNER’S BID PROPOSAL FORM
OWNER: City of College Park 3667 Main Street College Park, GA 30337
PROJECT: Tree and Brush Clearing
DATE: December 28, 2024
BID #011724 is hereby revised as instructed throughout attached ADDENDUM No. 1.
This Addendum forms a part of the contract documents and modifies the original bid documents.
The following items shall take precedence over the originally published bid documents for the above-named project and shall become a part of the contract documents.
1. Item description does not note any specific bid items as seen below. Also, scope of work notes pruning, removal and stump grinding (PRE-SELECTED TREES) but does not show or list specific trees. We will need to know which trees are removals and which are for pruning. Will these details need to be added by College Park? -
a. As you read page 1 of the bid you will see this verbiage “There will not be an information conference/pre-proposal meeting for this solicitation, however; we ask interested vendors visit the locations.” then as you continue to read on the package on starting with the Scope of Work beginning pages 23-24 you will see pictures of the location.
2. Why are you requiring the contractor to provide the permitting?
a. All projects completed on City property should have a permit in place before the job is started. Permits for City projects are free to the contractor.
3. Do you want this fence work listed as a separate bid item?
a. No
4. Can we have the power company “drop these lines” or “de-energize” them for this work?
a. Yes, College Park has it’s own power department, so the contract will be able to coordinate the dates with them.
5. If the final objective is grassing this slope, should this be noted as a separate bid item with specific details such as how (seeding or sodding) and type of grass?
a. This bid is for clearing the entire area of trees and stumps. Pruning would be for the briar patches growing along the fence line.
