About this file
Summary: Addendum No. 1 to ITB FM-24-450
This document is an addendum issued by the City of Long Beach Department of Financial Management Purchasing Division to clarify requirements for the Emergency Vehicle Equipment Parts and Repair Services invitation to bid (ITB No. FM-24-450), dated July 30, 2024. The addendum specifies seven fluid products required for the bid, including two grades of Valvoline engine oil (15W-40 and 10W-30), Valvoline Maxlife transmission fluid, Valvoline SYN GARD gear oil, Performance 500 Premium hydraulic oil, Valvoline UNITRAC universal tractor oil, and Zerex nitrite-free extended life antifreeze coolant. Proposers must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and submitting it with their proposals; failure to do so may result in disqualification.
The addendum addresses three specific questions from proposers regarding the electronic pricing input requirements. Clarification is provided that the first line item on the pricing section represents the total cost of all items and does not require individual bidding, with remaining line items requiring hourly rates for after-hours and regular-hours service. Additionally, proposers must complete the questionnaire on page 24 of the ITB and submit pricing items through the Long Beach Buys online portal rather than as part of the uploaded bid documents. The city requires that all proposers thoroughly review the entire ITB documents and complete all required documentation as specified in the bid instructions on page 12 of the original ITB.
