ITB FM-24-370 Jet Fuel A Delivery - Addendum No. 1
This is an Addendum No. 1 (Questions and Answers) issued by the City of Long Beach Department of Financial Management Purchasing Division for Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. FM-24-370 regarding Jet Fuel A Delivery services. The addendum was issued on January 25, 2024, and addresses clarifications from proposers regarding fuel delivery operations to a 1,000-gallon aboveground storage tank. Regular deliveries are scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays with approximately 150 gallons delivered per occasion. The anticipated contract award date is mid-to-late February 2024, with a contract start date of March 27, 2024. Proposers are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signature and submission with their proposals, with failure to do so potentially resulting in disqualification.
The incumbent contractor is Epic Aviation LLC. A local preference of 10% applies to Long Beach vendors; however, there are no specific SBE/MBE/WBE percentage preferences. The awardee must maintain standard aviation nozzles with appropriate grounding connections on hand for helicopter direct fueling, which occurs approximately 1-2 times per year as requested by the Fuel Division. Retain fees must be included and factored into the total cost-per-gallon pricing. The City does not currently maintain a tank monitor but may allow the awardee to install one with approval from Fleet's Fuel Operations Program Officer. Previous bid tabulation and invoice information is available through public records requests to the City Manager's office.
