About this file
This document is an Addendum to Invitation to Bid (ITB) #S-62900-00003405 for the Heritage Surveys of the Austin Wildlife Resiliency Project on the Malheur National Forest (MNF) in Oregon. The project area is approximately 110 acres, contrary to the initial statement of 3,000 acres. The addendum addresses questions related to the Scope of Work, including the target treatment area, the need for communication with Native American tribal nations, and the number of required progress review meetings. The closing date for the ITB is Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 2:00 PM. The contract will involve multiple jurisdictions, including Crook County and the City of Portland in Oregon.
The addendum clarifies that the total treatments, including commercial and non-commercial, would be approximately 110 acres, and that the number of progress review meetings may vary based on the project's needs. The contracting agency is unable to confirm the need for communication with natural resource staff of Native American tribal nations at this time. The addendum also includes a request to provide the list of Threatened, Endangered, Sensitive, and Proposed (TESP) species documented or suspected to occur on the MNF.

SURVEYS FOR AUSTIN JUNCTION WILDFIRE RESILIENCY PROJECT
on the
MALHUER NATIONAL FOREST
ADDENDUM #1
ITB Closing: Thursday, July 21, 2022, Tuesday, July 26 at 2:00 PM
Question:
SOW Section 4 Task 5.3 states that the target area for treatment is 3,000 acres (40% of the project area). However, SOW Section 2.1 states 110 acres and the shared map also appears to be approximately 110 acres. Please clarify.
Answer:
The total treatments, including commercial and non-commercial, would be approximately 110 acres. The total project area used for the Stand Characterization and Needs Assessment is approximately 110 acres (the 3,000-acre figure was a typo).
Question:
Is there an anticipated need for communication with natural resource staff of Native American tribal nations and/or assessment of culturally important plants?
Answer:
Unknown at this time.
Question We didn't find the list of TESP species documented or suspected to occur on the MNF attached to the ITB. Can this be shared?
Answer:
TESP attached as PDF
Question:
SOW Section 4 Task 2.1 indicates that Progress Review Meetings should be held monthly, but the Bid Sheet (Attachment D) has Quantity 2 for Item Number 002, Progress review meetings. Our understanding is that this project anticipated to last longer than 2 months. Please clarify.
Answer:
Two progress review meetings will be required however, the actual number of meetings may vary if issues to adequately address survey and/or progress are determined.
