I. Intent and Purpose
The Brunswick-Glynn Joint Water and Sewer Commission (JWSC) is in the process of evaluating downstream conveyance systems improvements required to address various I/I related issues throughout the JWSC service area. This project contains rehabilitation work elements to reduce I/I flows via CIPP lining.
CCTV investigation has identified segments of the gravity sewer upstream from JWSC Pump Station 4001 and 4013 as top candidates for CIPP rehabilitation. The project is located in both the north mainland and mainland districts in Glynn County, Brunswick, Georgia. See Exhibit A (A1- Basin 4001; A2-Basing 4013) for (2) maps detailing the work that is to be performed. These map files are available on the JWSC website.
II. Scope of Work
JWSC requests qualified individuals and firms with experience in CIPP repairs. Firms should have the qualification to provide the requested services that will include all labor, materials and equipment required to complete the required repairs, documentation, acceptance tests, visual inspection and warranty in accordance with established standards using approved products as detailed in the Technical Specifications included as Exhibit B.
Initial staff assessment of current condition has been completed. The preliminary report identifies segments that need repair. Owner will provide the recent CCTV videos and reports for each of the required segments for rehab. There are nine (9) segments that show an existing defect that would prevent successful CIPP rehab.
These point repairs will be made by the owner prior to the commencement of the project. The selected contractor will be required to line through the point repairs. An asset list of each segment and basin is included as Exhibit C. A Dropbox link with access to previous CCTV inspection videos and reports is available by contacting the JWSC Procurement Office. These videos will be incorporated as Exhibit D of the contract documents.
Combined work identified for the (2) basins will consist of selected contractor furnishing all skill, labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals required to rehab 660 linear feet of 6” sewer main, 26,115 linear feet of 8” sewer main, and 412 linear feet of 12” gravity sewer main. This project is within heavily residential areas and will require coordination of work to limit disruption to the residents and successful reinstatement of all active service connections.
The timeframe to complete this scope of work (including final reports) is estimated not to exceed three hundred (300) calendar days. Bidders are advised to consider this aspect thoroughly as they plan and evaluate the multiple elements that will be involved to execute this project within the desired timeframe.
