About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 25-17 issued by the City of Oviedo, Florida, for Asphalt Resurfacing of Various City Streets for Fiscal Years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. The addendum modifies the original bidding/contract documents dated January 19, 2025, and provides clarifications for potential bidders. The project involves asphalt resurfacing for 33 different streets across various subdivisions, including Alafaya Woods, Easton Park, Chapman Oaks, Twin Rivers, and Lockwood Boulevard. Bids must be received by February 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a project completion timeline of 90 calendar days for substantial completion and 120 calendar days for final completion from the Notice to Proceed.

The addendum addresses several key questions from potential bidders, including clarifications on street treatment methods, milling areas, asphalt spread rates, and specific street limits. The total budget estimate for the project is $3,000,000. The project requires contractors to be prequalified with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and use FDOT-certified asphalt plants. Different asphalt types will be used: SP 9.5 for local roads and SP 12.5 for collector and arterial roads. Working hours vary, with most streets having daytime work hours (7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday), while Lockwood Boulevard requires nighttime work (7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday). The contractor will be responsible for maintenance of traffic, pedestrian access, and restoration of all affected public and private properties.
