About this file
This document is an addendum to Invitation to Bid (ITB) 24-591 for Vent Hood Cleaning Services issued by the DeKalb County School District. The addendum provides responses to questions received from vendors and corrects the bid closing date from July 24, 2024 to July 23, 2024. The ITB is for vent hood cleaning services at approximately 135 schools, with the requirement that all hoods be cleaned every six months. Vendors are requested to acknowledge receipt of the addendum by signing and submitting it with their bid. The public bid opening will be held virtually on July 23, 2024 at 3:00 PM EST.
Regarding pricing, vendors are to provide a price per hood system cleaned and an hourly cleaning cost. The cleaning is to be performed after the kitchen and school have closed for the day, and plant engineers or head custodians will be on-site to provide access. Vendors have flexibility to design their own cleaning schedule, as long as all hoods are cleaned every six months. The district is unable to provide the price from the previous contract, but vendors can submit a request to the legal department for that information.
