This document is an Informal Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) for the sale of approximately 159 vaults and connecting 2", 4", 6", and 8" steam distribution lines. EWEB is offering to sell this surplus equipment that is no longer required. Bids will be accepted until November 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM PST. Bidders may submit questions until November 9, 2021. EWEB anticipates that the successful bidder will be able to use the pipes and vaults to run telecommunications equipment to the downtown Eugene community. The contract will be awarded to the highest bidder who accepts the terms of the transfer of ownership.
The minimum bid amount EWEB will consider is $20,000. The successful bidder will be responsible for all costs associated with the equipment, including environmental testing, maintenance, removal, repairs, and adherence to City of Eugene permitting and right-of-way requirements. EWEB makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the condition or usability of the equipment. The sale is on an "as-is, where-is" basis, and the successful bidder agrees to hold EWEB harmless for any issues or injuries related to the equipment.
