About this file

This is an addendum to Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2026-045 issued by the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Contracts, Grants and Procurement Management Services, for lawn and landscaping services at the Blind Services - Daytona Campus. The addendum provides responses to 17 vendor questions submitted during the question-and-answer period. The services required include grass and turf area maintenance, weed control in non-turf areas, and general landscaping upkeep across the campus including areas between the perimeter fence and roadway. The irrigation system contains 32 operational zones. Service restrictions are limited to holidays only, with no limitations on service days or times related to campus operations or student activities. Palm tree pruning and mulch bed maintenance are expressly excluded from the scope of services, and weed control herbicide applications are not required in turf areas.

The previous annual contract value for fiscal year 2025-26 was $69,300.00, with services provided by the incumbent contractor, Lawn Enforcement. The services were previously procured under State of Florida Contract No. 70111706-20-DMS-ACS. A Florida Spray license for weed control is not required for this contract. The addendum requires vendor signature and acknowledgment as a condition of bid completeness. Prospective bidders have 72 hours from the addendum posting date to file any protests regarding the requirements, with failure to protest constituting a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes.
