About this file
This is an Invitation to Bid (ITB #12358) issued by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) for firewood delivery services at Sunset Bay State Park. The solicitation requires a contractor to provide and deliver palletized bundles of seasoned firewood, with each delivery consisting of 660 bundles arranged in pallets of approximately 50 bundles each. The firewood must meet specific requirements including moisture content under 20%, diameter between 3-6 inches, and length of approximately 16 inches. Deliveries must occur between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, with contractors required to comply with OAR 603-052-1080 regarding firewood restrictions to prevent invasive species transportation. Key dates include a deadline for inquiries on December 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM PST, bid closing on December 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM PST, with anticipated contract award around December 30, 2024. The contract term is five years with possible extensions via amendment.
The contractor must maintain several types of insurance coverage including Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate), Automobile Liability ($2,000,000 combined single limit), and Workers' Compensation insurance. The contract specifies that pallets remain the property of the contractor and must be retrieved during subsequent deliveries. While specific pricing terms are to be determined through the bidding process, the pricing form requests rates per delivery of 660 bundles. No specific set-asides or incumbent information is mentioned in the solicitation. The contract allows OPRD to obtain firewood from other sources without penalty if needed, and contractors must demonstrate ability to maintain sufficient equipment and resources to fulfill orders throughout the year, particularly during peak delivery seasons from May through September.
