About this file

This document is an amendment to the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Fermilab Topography IDIQ contract. The RFQ appears to have some leftover text from a previous A-E QBS solicitation, which includes references to value engineering, coordination of disciplines, and other engineering roles and responsibilities. The Fermilab Real Estate and Facilities Services Department is requesting that the RFQ be revised and reposted to be specific to topographic survey services only, as the types of projects are for topographic surveying. The amendment also clarifies that firms do not need to choose a specific category of work, as the entire requirement is for topographic surveys. Additionally, the amendment states that the recent QBS solicitations for the Discovery on the Prairie and Kuhn Barn Topographic Survey projects are separate procurements that will not be rolled into this IDIQ contract. The deadline for questions is June 26, 2024, and qualifications are due by July 8, 2024.

Topography IDIQ, Amendment 01

Soliciation: ISD-355898-SCM

7/03/2024

1. The RFQ document has several sections that appear to have text left over from a previous A-E

QBS solicitation. These sections instruct us to identify the categories to which we are responding and refer to value engineering, coordination of disciplines, and other engineering roles and responsibilities. Please see Sections 3.1 through 10.1. Will FRA consider revising and reposting the RFQ to be specific to topographic survey services?

Under section 2 of the QBS, firms can ignore the following, “The types of projects are for Topographic Surveying, and in responding to this QBS the offeror will choose which categories of work they believe themselves to be qualified for and wish to be evaluated.” The types of projects are topographic surveys, but there is no need to choose a specific category.

2. There were recent QBS solicitations for the Discovery on the Prairie and Kuhn Barn Topographic Survey projects. Are those projects proceeding as separate procurements, or will they be rolled into this program?

Those are separate procurements.
