About this file
This is a certification document establishing compliance requirements for bids and proposals submitted to the State of Michigan. Effective April 1, 2013, all bids, proposals, and qualification statements must comply with the Michigan Iran Economic Sanctions Act (2012 P.A. 517). The document requires respondents to certify under civil penalty that they are fully eligible to submit and are not classified as an "Iran linked business" as defined in the Act. The certification must be signed by an authorized representative, with the signatory's title, company name, and date of submission included at the time of submittal for the Commercial Compact Utility Tractor & Loader Procurement opportunity.
This affidavit serves as a mandatory compliance mechanism for all state procurement activities in Michigan and does not establish pricing terms, set-asides, or other contractual provisions. Rather, it functions as a legal requirement that disqualifies any bidder unable to certify compliance with federal and state sanctions regulations. Failure to provide a signed affidavit or certification of false eligibility status may result in bid rejection and potential civil penalties.
