About this file
This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) document for the State of Illinois, specifically for elevator repair, maintenance, and annual inspection services (AGR-DQ B and G, B-50520). The solicitation outlines the bidding process and requirements for vendors seeking to contract with the State of Illinois for these building maintenance services. While specific project quantities, response deadlines, site visit schedules, bidder conferences, and contract term details are not clearly visible in the provided document excerpt, the IFB establishes that bidders must submit complete documentation as outlined in Section A.1 and acknowledges that failure to meet all requirements will result in disqualification.
The document references the Illinois Procurement Code's various preference programs, allowing bidders to claim preferences such as the Illinois Business Preference (requiring submission of an affidavit) and the Domestic Product Preference (requiring notation in alternate description fields). All resulting contracts will be governed by Standard Terms and Conditions available at the Illinois Chief Procurement Office website. Bidders may submit exceptions to standard terms and conditions through a redline version submitted with their offer, subject to State acceptance or rejection. The document serves as the formal submission mechanism by which authorized representatives of bidding vendors make offers to the State of Illinois for consideration and potential acceptance.
