The RFI was released on March 13, 2026, with responses due by April 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. via the County's eProcurement system. This solicitation is for market research and planning purposes only; no contract will be awarded as a result of this RFI. The County intends to use information gathered to refine technical specifications and determine procurement strategy for a potential future Request for Proposal.
Vendors must provide detailed responses addressing duress alarm capabilities with wireless battery-powered solutions preferred at each cashier workstation, intrusion detection for the front entry door with door contact sensors and glass break detection, UL-listed control panel specifications with access code management and audit trail capabilities, communication methods with primary and backup pathways including IP-based and cellular options, 24-hour professional monitoring services with law enforcement coordination, installation methodologies with timelines, maintenance and service programs, open-architecture non-proprietary system requirements, and non-binding budgetary estimates for equipment, installation, monthly monitoring, and annual maintenance. Minimum qualifications include company overview with years in business serving California public agencies, California Alarm Company Operator License number, proof of insurance, and at least three references for similar installations preferably involving government facilities or high-cash-handling environments. All cost information must be clearly labeled as non-binding and for planning purposes only, with the County retaining prerogative over hardware procurement and future successors.
