About this file
This document is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source contract issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Samuel S. Stratton in Albany, NY. The contract is for Trane U.S. Inc. to provide full maintenance and repair services for the Trane Tracer Ensemble facility-wide heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation systems (BAS), and temperature control end devices. Market research determined that Trane U.S. Inc. is the only vendor capable of performing these specialized services, as all maintenance, repairs, and software services for Trane systems can only be done by Trane qualified service technicians.
The solicitation (SOL: 36C24226Q0055) is not set-aside, covers the performance period from 04/01/2026 to 03/31/2027, and uses NAICS code 561210. Interested vendors must submit a detailed technical capability statement demonstrating their ability to service Trane proprietary equipment by 10:00 AM EST on Friday, October 24, 2025. The government will consider Expressions of Interest (EOI) received prior to October 22, 2025, solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses must be emailed to Mariangie Rivera at Mariangie.Rivera@va.gov, with the understanding that the decision to compete the contract remains at the government's discretion.
