About this file
The document is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) for an Industry Day focusing on Baggage and Check-In Solutions for Orlando International Airport (MCO). Scheduled for November 4, 2024, at 9:00 am in the Carl T. Lanford Board Room, the event is designed to gather information from potential vendors about innovative baggage and passenger processing technologies. The airport seeks solutions to revolutionize passenger travel, including TSA-approved remote check-in locations at hotels, convention centers, and cruise ports, with the goal of streamlining passenger flow, reducing airport congestion, and enhancing the overall travel experience.
This is a non-binding industry day notice that does not guarantee a formal solicitation or contract award. No pricing information is to be provided during the event, and participation is voluntary. The airport is specifically looking for technological solutions that can enable travelers to check in for flights, receive boarding passes, and check luggage from remote locations, with a particular focus on improving convenience for cruise travelers and updating current baggage systems with state-of-the-art technology. The project release date is set for October 18, 2024, and interested parties are invited to attend and share potential innovative approaches to baggage and check-in services.
