About this file

This document appears to be slides from an Industry Day event hosted by the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) regarding the Industrial Product-Support Vendor (IPV) program. The slides provide an overview of CCAD's mission to repair and overhaul various aircraft and components, as well as how the IPV program supports CCAD's operations.

Key details include:

  • CCAD is the largest rotary wing repair facility in the world, contributing $1 billion to Texas' GDP in 2023.
  • The IPV program helps reduce logistic response time, improve efficiency, and lower operating costs by having the vendor monitor inventory levels, place orders, and deliver parts directly to CCAD without the depot handling the parts.
  • The IPV program also provides data analytics to increase financial accountability, track inventory turnover, and support infrastructure streamlining to improve readiness.

This appears to be informational material rather than a specific solicitation document. The related federal contract opportunity is a Special Notice for the CCAD IPV Gen II Industry Day, which provides draft versions of sections L and M.

Who we are

Corpus Christi Army Depot hosts the largest rotary wing repair facility in the world.

Spanning more that 2.2 million square feet, is the largest employer in South Texas, contributing $1 billion to Texas' GDP in 2023.

The Organic Industrial Base (OIB) is the nation’s insurance policy, ensuring the Army can sustain its weapons systems without relying on outside resources.

CCAD values the importance of the public-private partnerships that help leverage supply and support to the Army. We need to continue to find ways to upgrade and enhance our capabilities.

“Keep innovating, keep producing and keep developing. These products are going to keep our Soldiers safe and enable us to fight and win our nation's wars.” Maj. Gen. Tom O’Connor, previous AMCOM Commander

Where we are

How does IPV help CCAD?

The value of IPV = Time Reduced logistic response time

Improved Efficiency / Simpler Processes

IPV = Order, Delivery, Bin. Without Depot touching the part.

The vendor monitors inventory levels, determines when to place new orders based on inventory or bin levels or demand predictions and lead time

Streamlined processes and lower costs

Manpower (Depot doesn’t touch the part)

Review the Bin

Order material

Deliver the material

Put in Bin

Lean Inventory

Lower Operating Costs

Prevents accumulation of excess stock by the IPV program and ensures risk management principles are applied through program oversight and the implementation of process improvement

Data Analytics

Increased financial accountability / material costs Inventory turnover rate / Consumption numbers Increased opportunities for infrastructure streamlining Increased Readiness

‘The right part, at the right place, at the right time’
