ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO ALL BIDDERS:

Reference - Invitation For Bids: 159133 Commodity: Pipe Replacement Rt 727 Dated: 9/5/24 For Delivery To: Appomattox Residency Bid Due Date: 9/30/24 at 1PM

The above is hereby changed to read:

1. Current specification (Section IV Specifications/Contract Requirements, page 3) reads Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing endwalls.

This sentence will be changed to: Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing endwalls. Upon inspection, if it is determined by the Contractor and the VDOT Contract Manager, that removing either of the existing endwalls would undermine the stability of the slope and the road above the pipe, then the endwall may be abandoned in place.

Note:

Acknowledgement of this addendum or any subsequent addenda must be prior to the bid due date and time or signed and uploaded as an attachment with the electronic bid submission. Failure to acknowledge or submit the addendum may be grounds for declaring the bid non-responsive.

Sincerely, Robert Dowdle Contract Officer Phone: 434-856-8320
