About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB1 2015_176) issued by the State of Colorado for the PMAA and SWRS Game Damage Wood project. The procurement addresses concerns regarding the delivery timeline for wood posts and related materials. Rather than requiring the full purchase order quantity by the March 9, 2015 delivery date, the bid clarification establishes a phased delivery schedule: 1,000 to 1,200 twelve-foot wood posts (approximately 20% of the total requested amount) are due by March 9, 2015, with an additional 10% of remaining purchase order quantities for other materials due by April 1, 2015. The remainder of the purchase order quantities will be delivered as needed within a 45-day window for delivery.

The clarification reflects recognition of supply chain constraints at both the manufacturer and distributor levels, indicating flexibility in the procurement approach to accommodate realistic product availability. No pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, or funding source details are specified in this document.

Questions:

1. I see that the bidding period ends on March 2nd and there is a requested delivery of March 9th. How firm is the requested delivery date? I'm not sure that the manufacturers have these kind of quantities, let alone us distributors.

It is not the intention to have the entire purchase order quantity available by March 9, 2015. We need a quantity of 1000-1200 12ft wood posts (or 20% of the requested amount) available by March 9th, 2015 and 10% of the remaining purchase order quantities for the other materials available by April, 1 2015. The remainder purchase order quantities will be requested as needed within a 45 day window for delivery.
