About this file

This is a Bid Cost Form for Invitation for Bids (IFB) 021-22 issued by Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) in Georgia for the procurement of produce, fruits, and vegetables. The IFB seeks to establish pricing for 140 line items encompassing a comprehensive range of fresh produce including apples (eight varieties), bananas, berries, melons, citrus fruits, stone fruits, grapes, tropical fruits, and vegetables such as beans, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, celery, cucumbers, lettuce, mushrooms, onions, peppers, potatoes, spinach, squash, and tomatoes. Many items are available in multiple formats, including whole produce, pre-cut portions, and individual serving packages. Estimated quantities range from 20 cases to 1,500 cases per item, with total quantities for core items reaching thousands of cases annually. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference was scheduled for Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. EST via teleconference at (667) 770-1484, access code 222743.

All pricing on the Bid Cost Form is inclusive and F.O.B. Destination, with the district bearing no responsibility for charges not listed on the form. Bidders are required to complete unit cost and total cost fields for each line item, with delivery required within 48 hours for most produce items during the specified September-December delivery period. All produce must meet USDA quality standards, typically U.S. No. 1 or U.S. Fancy grades, with detailed specifications regarding appearance, firmness, color, and condition. Bidders willing to consider alternative pack sizes are encouraged to note such flexibility. The contract encompasses both standard whole produce and value-added pre-processed items, including pre-diced fruits, pre-packaged individual servings, washed and chopped vegetables, and specialized cuts such as julienne and sliced formats.
