About this file
This Addendum #1 is issued by the Board of County Commissioners of Orange County, Florida for Invitation for Bid (IFB) Y24-193 regarding Primary Canal Mowing and Maintenance Services for Stormwater Management. The addendum addresses multiple vendor questions about the solicitation, clarifies contract details, and provides important procedural information. Key dates include a public bid opening on February 28, 2024 at 9:30 EST, with bid submissions due by February 29, 2024 at 4:00 PM EST. The contract appears to be for canal mowing services with an initial 12-month period and potential for two additional 12-month option years, with the potential for acreage variations due to canal additions or removals.
The addendum clarifies that option year contracts do not include price escalation provisions, and submitted pricing for each option year must remain firm. Vendors are required to provide references demonstrating at least 4,500 acres of maintenance experience, with ongoing jobs acceptable in client references. The work involves mowing approximately 73.45 acres, with a work plan to be submitted within 10 days of contract award. Contractors must remove grass clippings from pavement, fence lines, sidewalks, curbs, and curb inlets to maintain a neat appearance. The county also references Minority/Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) participation requirements, which can be found in Section 5 of the solicitation documents.
