About this file

This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) document issued by the California Correctional Training and Rehabilitation Authority (CALCTRA) for fire and security alarm systems monitoring and maintenance services at the CALCTRA Central Office located in Folsom, California. The solicitation seeks comprehensive services including monitoring, maintenance, testing, and repair of fire detection systems, security alarm systems, and related equipment at the specified facility. The contract will be awarded to a single qualified vendor capable of providing 24/7 monitoring services, emergency response capabilities, and regular preventive maintenance on all installed systems. Interested bidders are required to submit sealed bids by the specified due date, with evaluation criteria including technical qualifications, experience with similar systems, response time capabilities, and pricing. The contract term extends for an initial period with potential renewal options to be exercised at CALCTRA's discretion, allowing for continuity of critical safety and security monitoring services.

Pricing for the services should be submitted on a per-month or per-year basis as specified in the bid documents, with all costs including labor, materials, equipment, and emergency service calls included in the proposed fee structure. The incumbent contractor information and current service levels are documented in the supporting exhibits. CALCTRA will evaluate bids based on the contractor's ability to maintain continuous monitoring operations, comply with applicable fire and security codes, and provide qualified technicians for emergency response. Funding for this contract will be provided through CALCTRA's operational budget. Prospective bidders are encouraged to conduct site visits to familiarize themselves with existing systems and facility requirements, and a bidders' conference may be held prior to the bid deadline to address questions and clarify specifications.
