About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers document related to Invitation for Bid (IFB) S24DOSH008 issued by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) for on-line access to industry standards. The IFB is seeking a vendor to provide online access to industry consensus standards, with the ability to print specific standards. This access is required to support citations issued to employers by Health and Safety Inspectors and to update Title 8 standards. Bids are due by June 27, 2024 and must be emailed to the specified DIR procurement email addresses. Upon bid opening, all submitted documents will become public records subject to disclosure.

The Q&A document addresses questions related to bid openings and the disclosure of confidential pricing and technical information, as well as the inclusion of an "Expert Index" collection that was not originally listed as a required content item. The DIR has indicated that quoted pricing and technical capabilities will be available to the public upon request, with confidential information redacted as appropriate. An Addendum has been issued to address the Expert Index collection requirement.
