About this file

This document is a Darfur Contracting Act Certification form issued by the California Department of General Services Procurement Division. The form applies to companies that have conducted business activities outside the United States within the previous three years and are seeking to bid on or submit a proposal for a State of California contract. The certification requires companies to declare whether they are a "scrutinized company" under Public Contract Code Sections 10475-10481, with two potential options for compliance: Option #1 involves certifying that the company is not a scrutinized company, while Option #2 allows scrutinized companies to submit a bid if they have obtained written permission from the Department of General Services.

The document outlines specific requirements for companies with international business operations, mandating that they either affirm they are not a scrutinized company or provide documentation of permission from the state to submit a proposal. Companies with no business activities outside the United States in the previous three years are not required to complete the form. The certification must be completed under penalty of perjury, with an authorized company representative signing and providing company details including the company/vendor name and Federal ID Number. The form is designed to ensure transparency and compliance with state contracting regulations related to business activities in specific international contexts.
