The project involves underwater seal inspection and repairs on four specific areas: the Big Window, Side A Bridge, Side B Bridge, and Divers Entrance within an 188,000-gallon saltwater tank. The bid submission deadline is April 17, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., with a proposed contract start date of May 15, 2025, and an end date of June 30, 2026. An optional pre-bid conference/walkthrough can be scheduled, and bidders are encouraged to review the detailed scope of work, which requires certified scuba divers experienced in zoo and aquarium environments.

Bidders must meet specific minimum qualifications, including 10 years of experience in zoo/aquarium diving, over 5 years of underwater acrylic seal repair experience, and the ability to perform all work without subcontractors. The bid includes provisions for small business (SB) and disabled veteran business enterprise (DVBE) preferences, with potential incentives for certified businesses. Contractors must provide comprehensive documentation, including criminal background clearances, TB testing verification, and a certificate of insurance. The billing will be itemized and paid upon completion, with a one-year warranty on workmanship and materials.
