About this file

This is an addendum to an Invitation for Bid (IFB #215-120224) issued by Mooresville Graded School District (MGSD) in North Carolina for Viewsonic Display Panels, with bids due on December 20, 2024 at 8:30 AM ET. The project involves a new installation of Viewsonic display panels, with MGSD specifying that only the exact Viewsonic make and model listed in the IFB will be accepted. The scope includes installing new Viewsonic mounts and displays, with MGSD handling all electrical and network wiring. Installation heights will not exceed 10 feet, requiring ladders but not lifts, and installations can be performed on weekends.

The vendor responsibilities include removal and disposal of packaging materials and existing dry erase/bulletin boards where needed (less than half of installations require board removal), with dumpsters provided at each school. The selected vendor's technicians will not be responsible for WiFi connectivity or unit configuration, as MGSD staff will handle these tasks. Wall types vary between drywall and brick depending on the school, with MGSD responsible for wall patching and painting. MGSD will handle equipment storage and site access credentials will be arranged with the selected vendor. Specific installation schedules will be confirmed after vendor selection.

In accordance with the IFB posted on 12/2/2024, Mooresville Graded School District is providing responses to all vendor questions that have been asked.

1. Will other OEM's with same or better panel specs be considered? Or is the RFP exclusive for only Viewsonic?

Answer: Only the Viewsonic make and model specified in the IFB is being accepted.

2. It seems the full scope only includes installing the new ViewSonic mount and display. Does that mean the wiring will already be in place and we will just need to make connections after install, or is there a wiring/cable scope of work that also pertains to this project?

Answer: MGSD will handle all wiring (network) and electrical.

3. Is the electrical connection readily available?

Answer: This question is irrelevant to the project as MGSD will handle all wiring (network) and electrical.

4. Does a data cable need to be run? If cabling is needed, will the school supply this or does the technician need to supply the material?

Answer: MGSD will handle all wiring (network) and electrical

5. Is this a new installation or a refresh?

Answer: New mailto:ssmith@mgsd.k12.nc.us
