About this file
This document is an amendment to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission for the Nisqually Forest Health Thinning - Log Sale project. The project involves the purchase of forest products from approximately 189 acres in Nisqually State Park located in Pierce County, Washington. The amendment provides responses to a question from an interested bidder firm regarding the availability of shapefiles and georeferenced maps for the project area. The Commission indicates that they can provide these files upon request via email to the procurement coordinator.
The IFB seeks bids from log buyers interested in purchasing the forest products from the designated treatment area within Nisqually State Park. The project is located at 43371 Mashel Prairie Road, Eatonville, WA 98328, and the Forest Practices Application number is 2423981. The amendment does not provide any information about pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient details beyond the availability of the geospatial files.

COMPETITION WEBS BID
IFB 325-418 NISQUALLY FOREST HEALTH THINNING – LOG SALE
PREVIOUS TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN EFFECT: All earlier terms, conditions, instructions, information, language, etc. not modified by this amendment remain in full force and effect.
NOTE: Bidders are invited to include this competition amendment with the Bidder’s bid response, but it is not mandatory.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FROM INTERESTED BIDDER FIRMS:
Question 1. Do you have shapefiles and any georeferenced maps that you would share?
Response1: Yes, we do have both georeferenced maps and shapefiles available for sharing. The attached standalone PDF map is georeferenced, meaning it has an embedded coordinate system that allows it to be used in applications like Avenza PDF Maps.
In addition to the PDF map, we can provide shapefiles for the following:
1. Nisqually FHT Treatment Boundaries.zip
2. Nisqually Park Boundary.zip
3. Nisqually Road Plan Roads.zip
These shapefiles can be requested via email to Jacob Eckmann, the procurement coordinator, at contracts@parks.wa.gov. Due to the size and format of these files, they are not easy to share directly; therefore, we will provide them in a zipped folder format through email to those who request them.
