About this file

This is an Addendum 1 to IFB 27-02, a Questions and Answers document for a fresh produce procurement opportunity with the Glynn County School Nutrition Program. The solicitation covers fresh produce delivery services to 16 school locations with a preferred delivery frequency of once per week on Tuesdays. Of the 16 locations, ten schools have commercial loading docks available, while the remaining six schools will require either a ramp or liftgate for delivery access. The document addresses equipment requirements and clarifies delivery logistics necessary for bidders to understand the scope of services required.

The addendum identifies critical operational requirements and historical performance concerns that bidders must address in their proposals. The Glynn County School Nutrition Program has experienced delivery delays that conflict with scheduled menu planning and emphasizes the necessity for on-time deliveries during normal operating hours on the scheduled delivery day. Additionally, the district has encountered issues with non-domestic produce that lacked proper pre-approval and requires all non-domestic produce submissions to include justification documentation unless the product is listed on the FAR sheet. These specifications represent key evaluation criteria for vendor selection and contract performance expectations.

Addendum 1

IFB 27-02 Fresh Produce

Questions and Answers

1. Delivery Frequency: How many delivery days per week are required or anticipated for each of the 16 school locations? Once per week, Tuesday is our preferred day

2. Equipment Requirements: Can you confirm if all 16 locations require Liftgate Straight Trucks, or do any of the locations possess commercial loading docks? Ten of the school have commercial loading docks. A ramp or lift gate would be needed for the other six schools.

3. Specific District Concerns: Are there any specific historical pain points, delivery challenges, or product quality concerns that the Glynn County School Nutrition Program has experienced in the past that you would like our team to specifically address and solve within our proposal? 1. We have had concerns with trucks not delivering on time during normal operating hours or on the scheduled day of delivery. Orders need to be delivered on time as scheduled to meet the planned menu for our students. 2. We have experienced non-domestic produce that was not pre-approved. Non-domestic justification documentation is needed on all non-domestic produce unless the product is listed on the FAR sheet.
