About this file

This document is Addendum #2 for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 24/25-07 for the 2nd Street Streetscape Improvement project issued by the City of Sanford's Finance Department Purchasing Division. The addendum updates several key aspects of the original solicitation, including changing the bid due date from January 7th, 2025 to January 14th, 2025, and the Q&A deadline from December 31st, 2024 to January 7th, 2025. The addendum addresses multiple contractor questions regarding project specifications, including clarifications on liquidated damages ($1,000 per calendar day), permitting status (exempt from SJRWDM permitting), required bid documentation, ribbon curb quantity correction, concrete band details, excess brick handling, intersection closures, laydown yard requirements, and irrigation system modifications.

The addendum includes several technical revisions to the original bid documents, such as adding a pay item for 16" thick reinforced concrete, modifying the list of required forms, correcting quantities in the bid schedule, and providing additional details about brick removal, reinstallation, and classification. The document outlines specific requirements for contractors, including definitions of damaged, unsalvageable, and reclaimed brick, restrictions on simultaneous intersection closures, and responsibilities for procuring and securing a laydown yard. Contractors are advised to carefully review the revised sections, particularly the updated bid form, measurement and payment specifications, and plan revisions provided with the addendum.
